Connor Fellowships are awarded to current grad students seeking to make a positive impact on the Art Ed Department here at City College, and on the larger citywide art education community! This post is part of a series introducing Fall 2023 Connor Fellows.
Meet Julia Baroni, who supported the department through her great efforts in co-coordinating our annual Grad and Alumni art show:
As a Connor Fellow, I co-curated the fall Art Education graduate student and alumni show in Compton-Goethals Gallery. It was a quick turnaround, but we were proud to have included 32 artists in the show! Our main goal was to celebrate the work of artists who teach, fill the entire gallery space, and bring together students and alumni. I most enjoyed the challenging curatorial process of finding connections between disparate works to make them make sense together.
