Connor Fellowships are awarded to current grad students seeking to make a positive impact on the Art Ed Department here at City College, and on the larger citywide art education community! This post is part of a series introducing Fall 2023 Connor Fellows.
Meet Jesi Zinn, who is supporting the department through her project on helping manage the CCNY Art Ed social media accounts:
The Art Ed Program at CCNY would benefit from an increased presence online! Social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok serve as major channels where students, staff, and the public can experience CCNY. With self-taught skills in developing and executing social media strategies, I will broaden the program’s social media presence. I believe this would foster a wider, yet closer sense of community!
In order to achieve this vision, I will make time to frequently post quality content and showcase the conversations, people, and events of the Art Department Graduate Program. I hope to build a meaningful online platform by proactively engaging with the audience.
